True Q BBQ

Let me be honest, I take barbecue seriously – and the folks at True Q BBQ do too. True Q opened in 2012, providing barbecue and all the other essentials for events around town. According to True Q’s owner Evan, they started serving lunch out of a food truck parked at Lynchburg Grows as a way to promote the catering service. But then the lunch service took off! The crowds started to grow and they began selling out week after week. Oh – did I mention they’re only open on Tuesdays from 11-1? I guess people want a good barbecue lunch every week!
The lunchtime menu is pretty simple – typically they pair their Signature Pulled Pork BBQ sandwich with a handcrafted side (Parmesan-Crusted Mac ‘n Cheese anyone?) and a drink for $7. They only have one picnic table, so the seating is limited, but don’t let that deter you. I don’t want to give too much away, because you need to experience it for yourself, but let’s just say I’ll be going back next time True Q BBQ is open! It used to be a cash-only operation, but as of last week they started accepting credit cards (for a 5% service fee).
Stay tuned, because we may try to plan a meet up at True Q BBQ next Tuesday!
